Many people are not aware of the high percentage of children who are removed from GOOD PARENTS, how many families are destroyed, how many times social workers lie in the courtrooms to justify their egregious actions, how many times there is NO "reasonable efforts" made to maintain the children in their homes thereby removing the need for foster home placements, disruption of the family, and the dangers involved by those placements.
Judges are rubber stamping social workers "opinions" of the "best interest of the child." Parents are "guilty until proven innocent,"denied Due Process, and children can be seized with NO warrant or court order, based on anonymous reports that are based on hearsay or opinions with NO facts.
People assume that if children are removed from a home that there must be a valid reason for that removal, but in too many cases this is NOT true, again, just a social worker's opinion is enough to remove or seize children.
While no one wants to see any child abused, we need to be aware that it is child abuse when we remove a child from their family...the trauma to the family IS ABUSE, is unbearable, and is akin to kidnapping.
When Federal Funds are being awarded for placement of children in foster homes you can see where their incentive lies...NOT "in the best interest of the child," but in the best interest guaranteeing pay for social workers, psychologist, counselors, legal counsel, and all other workers associated with active cases. It is a business, many times about the bottom line, and not about human beings.
These agencies and agents need to be held accountable for their violations to both children and their families in order to to deter these negligent actions.
